Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide Odidiomo, has fulfilled his ₦2 million pledge to the Eruwa Muslim Community (ERMUC), redeeming the commitment he made during the community’s 3rd Ileya Get-Together lecture.

The pledge was announced in connection with the programme held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Islamic Primary School, Sango, Eruwa, where participants reflected on the theme, “The Importance of Brotherhood in Islam.”

Odidiomo was unable to attend the gathering in person as he was in Saudi Arabia performing Umrah. However, his absence did not affect his commitment, as the lawmaker has now fully redeemed the ₦2 million pledge.

The gesture has been described by members of the community as a demonstration of Odidiomo’s continued support for religious activities, grassroots initiatives and community development.

The 3rd Ileya Get-Together attracted Muslim scholars, traditional rulers, political leaders, community stakeholders and members of the Eruwa Muslim community.
The event featured Ustadh Abdkabir Abdul Wahid Adelakun, Chief Imam of Ajia Mosque, Eruwa, as guest lecturer, while Chief Kolawole Sheu Adedeji served as chairman of the occasion. Fadilat Shaykh Dr. Bilal Shitt, Grand Chief Imam of Eruwa Land, served as the spiritual father.
The redemption of the pledge has also been welcomed as an example of what supporters of the lawmaker describe as a “promise-and-fulfilment” approach to public service.
Supporters noted that the credibility of political representation is strengthened when commitments made to communities are followed by concrete actions, adding that Odidiomo’s latest gesture further reinforces his relationship with religious and grassroots stakeholders.
With the fulfilment of the pledge, the lawmaker has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote unity, religious harmony and community development across his constituency.
