
The Director-General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP), Joseph Tegbe, visited the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he held high-level discussions with Du Xiaohui, Director-General of the Department of African Affairs, and other senior officials. The visit marks a new chapter in the deepening strategic ties between the two nations, underscoring shared economic, cultural, and diplomatic goals.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the progress made in the partnership since Tegbe’s appointment. Discussions highlighted significant achievements and challenges in areas such as cultural exchange, economic collaboration, and policy coordination. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to strengthen bilateral ties and identified innovative strategies to address emerging challenges.
Key areas of future collaboration were spotlighted, including modern agricultural technologies, the establishment of live markets, and the development of large-scale industrial chains. Tegbe noted that leveraging China’s advanced expertise in these sectors could significantly transform Nigeria’s economic landscape.

Beijing’s vibrant economy was emphasized as a potential model for Nigeria. The delegation explored opportunities for knowledge exchange and investments, with the aim of fostering sustainable economic growth and creating mutual benefits for both nations.
