The Laja Adeoye Campaign Organisation (LACO) has commenced its campaign activities ahead of the 2027 Lagos State governorship election, promising to take an issue-based and people-centred campaign to communities across the state.
The organisation, in a statement signed by its spokesman, Ayodele Kazeem, on Wednesday, said the campaign would focus on policies, practical solutions and the future of Lagos rather than propaganda or personality-driven politics. It said the campaign was being launched in line with the timetable and guidelines released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

LACO said its campaign team would traverse the nooks and crannies of the state, engaging residents in Lagos Island, Epe, Alimosho, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos Mainland, Agege, Ibeju-Lekki and other local government areas and wards. According to the organisation, issues including education, healthcare, housing, transportation, security, employment, infrastructure, flooding, waste management and the welfare of vulnerable citizens would form the core of its engagements.

The campaign organisation said it would engage professionals, artisans, traders, youths, women, traditional institutions, religious bodies, civil society organisations and other stakeholders in an effort to understand their concerns and present workable solutions. It stressed that Lagosians deserved a campaign where policies and ideas would be openly compared, rather than one dominated by personal attacks.

The organisation also urged its supporters and volunteers to maintain discipline and respect throughout the campaign period, assuring that its activities would remain peaceful and within the law. It said the “Atunto Eko 1.0” message would be taken to every part of Lagos, declaring that under the leadership of Prince Laja Adeoye, the campaign was ready to raise the standard of political engagement and pursue what it described as a “better Lagos” with the people at the centre.
