The Oyo State Executive Council of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has pledged its total support for the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The decision was reached at an exhaustive meeting of the state executives, led by the State Chairman, Otunba Fagbemi Adegbenro, as the party commenced preparations for the Presidential and National Assembly campaigns.

At the meeting, the executives resolved to fully support the candidature of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, promising to remain actively involved in his campaign activities across the country.

The party leadership also reaffirmed its commitment to the emergence of APM’s governorship candidate, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engr. Mufutau Open Salawu, as winners of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.

Similarly, the executives pledged their “unalloyed support” for all APM candidates contesting for the Senate, House of Representatives and Oyo State House of Assembly seats.

According to the party, the resolutions are aimed at ensuring that all APM candidates emerge victorious at the 2027 polls.

The meeting also acknowledged the developmental achievements of the Seyi Makinde administration in Oyo State over the past seven years, describing the growth and development recorded under the administration as visible and impactful.

The executives maintained that the achievements of the administration would serve as an important basis for mobilising support for the party and its candidates.

The statement noted that other party faithful had also expressed support for the decisions reached at the meeting.

The party called on its members and supporters to remain united, committed and active as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
