The candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, has expressed confidence in the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections, urging members to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation.

Sheu gave the assurance on Saturday during the party’s reconciliation meeting in Ibarapa, where he received a rousing welcome from party faithful.

Speaking at the meeting, the House of Representatives hopeful declared that the APM remained ahead of its political opponents, citing the party’s grassroots engagement and sustained efforts to support residents across the constituency.

He disclosed that he had facilitated development initiatives across more than 300 communities within the federal constituency, including the installation of streetlights and the grading of rural roads, as part of efforts to improve living conditions and ease transportation for residents.

“We are ahead of opposition members. We have been on the streets and everywhere, campaigning and supporting our people in all ways. I appeal to everyone to come out en masse and ensure APM candidates are elected in the forthcoming election,” Sheu said.

The APM candidate further expressed optimism that the ongoing reconciliation initiative would strengthen the party’s internal cohesion, consolidate its support base and improve its electoral prospects ahead of the 2027 polls.

He urged party members and leaders to set aside their differences, embrace unity and remain committed to the party’s agenda for sustainable development across Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency and Oyo State at large.

The reconciliation meeting was led by the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, and attended by prominent party leaders, including the APM governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, other candidates, and party leaders and members from across the zone.

Addressing party faithful at the gathering, Lawal commended Sheu for his extensive grassroots network and contributions to strengthening the APM in the zone.

The Deputy Governor also expressed confidence in the party’s electoral prospects, assuring members that the APM would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.
