The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) Lagos State governorship candidate, Prince Laja Adeoye, has commenced the next phase of his 2027 gubernatorial campaign with the appointment of five young professionals into key positions within the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organisation (LACO).

The appointments, announced by the campaign organisation on Thursday, September 10, 2026, include Adetunji Joshua, a graduate of the University of Ibadan, appointed as Digital Infrastructure Assistant; Oyeniyi Opeyemi, a graduate of Ekiti State University, who will serve as General Creative Assistant; and Abdulwasiu Temitope Adeoye, a University of Lagos graduate, appointed as Digital Creativity Assistant.

Others appointed are Halima Abdulrafiu from the University of Ibadan, who will serve as Executive Assistant, and Zainab Rinsola Adeyemo, a graduate of Lagos State University, appointed as Administrative Assistant. The campaign organisation said the new appointees would bring energy, competence and relevant skills to its operations, particularly in digital infrastructure, creative development, executive support and administration.

According to LACO, the appointments are part of efforts to strengthen the organisational capacity of the campaign as it advances its governorship bid across Lagos State. The organisation said the young professionals were strategically positioned to contribute to effective organisation, communication and the overall success of the campaign.

The campaign organisation further described the appointments as a reflection of Adeoye’s commitment to youth development and inclusion in politics, saying the APM candidate believes young people should not be treated merely as spectators but as active partners in shaping the future of Lagos. It added that further appointments would be made as campaign activities progress.

The development comes as the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organisation intensifies preparations to take its “Atunto Eko 1.0” message to Lagosians ahead of the 2027 governorship election. The campaign had earlier pledged to pursue an issue-based engagement focused on policies, solutions and people-centred governance, while mobilising professionals, youths, women and other stakeholders across the state.

Earlier, the gubernatorial candidate approved the appointment of a young media entrepreneur, Olusegun C. A. Taiwo (OCAT) as SSA Digital Media Communication in addition to the numerous vibrant campaign structure.
