
The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Dr Sharafadeen Alli, has expanded the campaign structure by appointing seasoned journalists and communication professionals to key positions in his campaign media and publicity team ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The appointments were contained in a statement issued by Dare Adekanmbi, Media Consultant to Alli, and made available to journalists on Thursday in Ibadan.


According to the statement, former South-West Bureau Chief of The Nation newspaper, Bisi Oladele, was appointed Director of Media and Publicity, while Kehinde Olaosebikan was named Director of Strategic Communication and Bolaji Tunji as Director of Public Affairs.

The statement also announced the immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council, Chief Ademola Babalola, as Deputy Director, while the Oyo State APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, was appointed Secretary of the Media and Publicity Team.
Oladele, a multimedia journalist and communication strategist, brings more than 25 years of experience in journalism and public relations to the assignment.
He is expected to work with other professionals across various communication fields, including Ayotunde Olude, to strengthen the campaign’s media, publicity and strategic communication operations.
Until his latest appointment, Oladele was the Executive Editor of Newspeak Media and Chairman of the South-West Guild of Online Publishers.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (English) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a Master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan. He is also concluding a PhD in Political Communication at Lead City University, Ibadan.
Olaosebikan, a veteran media practitioner, previously served as Chief Press Secretary to the late Governor Lam Adesina of Oyo State.
His experience in government media relations and strategic communication is expected to contribute to the campaign’s communication strategy as the 2027 election approaches.
Tunji, also a seasoned journalist and communication practitioner, served as Special Adviser to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Communication and Strategy.
The campaign said the appointments were aimed at strengthening its media visibility, strategic communication, public engagement and overall information management ahead of the 2027 general election.
It added that the newly constituted team would deploy the experience of its members across traditional and digital media platforms to enhance communication with voters and other stakeholders across Oyo State.
