The 2026 edition of the annual Ojúdè Ọlá Agbo Day and Chieftaincy Ceremony was held in a grand style, bringing together members of the Agbo Dynasty from far and near in a colorful celebration of culture, unity, and family heritage.
The event, which attracted more than 3,000 guests, was marked by peace, orderliness, and a rich display of cultural performances that thrilled attendees throughout the day. Traditional dancers, drummers, praise singers, and various cultural groups entertained guests with captivating performances that showcased the beauty and richness of Yoruba culture.
One of the highlights of the occasion was the chieftaincy ceremony, where distinguished sons and daughters of the dynasty were honored for their contributions to the growth and development of the family and society.
Speaking during the event, the Mogaji of the Agbo Dynasty chief Tahiru Kolawole Oladipupo expressed his joy and appreciation to all family members, guests, sponsors, and members of the planning committee for making the celebration a huge success.
According to him, the annual Ojúdè Ọlá Agbo Day was established to strengthen family bonds, preserve cultural heritage, and create an avenue for members of the dynasty to reconnect with one another.
“This gathering gives our people the opportunity to reunite, celebrate our common heritage, and foster love among family members. Many relatives who have not seen each other for years are able to meet again during this annual event, and that is one of the greatest achievements of Ojúdè Ọlá Agbo Day,” he said.
The Mogaji further noted that the event has continued to promote unity, peace, and cooperation within the dynasty, while also encouraging younger generations to appreciate and preserve their cultural values.
Many family members who attended the event expressed happiness at seeing relatives and loved ones they had not met in several years. Several attendees described the occasion as one of the best editions ever organized and pledged greater support for future celebrations.
