The political landscape of Akinyele Local Government has been thrown into mourning following the official announcement by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, on the passing of respected community and political leader, Hon. Chief Akinlabi Ezekiel Adewale.

Reacting to the sad development, the founder of the Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF), Oloye Benedict Akika JP, described the death of the late statesman as a monumental loss not only to Akinyele Local Government but to Oyo State as a whole. He noted that Baba Ezekiel, as he was fondly called, was a man of integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development and unity.

Oloye Akika further highlighted the late leader’s strong support for the Omituntun Benedict Forum, stating that Baba Ezekiel was a devoted pillar of the group who contributed immensely both morally and in other capacities towards its growth and success. According to him, the vacuum created by his passing will be deeply felt across political, social, and community circles.

The Agbaakin of Olorunda-Abaa and Mayegun of Akoboland also extolled the virtues of the deceased, describing him as a bridge-builder, a selfless leader, and a father figure whose legacy of service and dedication will continue to inspire generations.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and urged the family, associates, and the entire Akinyele community to take solace in the impactful life he lived, emphasizing that his contributions to humanity will never be forgotten.
