The Oyo State Government through the Agency for Youth Development, under the leadership of Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has unveiled a 24-member organising committee for the forthcoming December Blizzard entertainment event,  appointing prominent entertainment figure Mr. Oluwatosin Odita (King Zlo) as chairman.

Highlights of the event include the Best DJ and Hypelord categories, featuring fierce competition with Star prizes of 5 million naira for the best DJ, 2 million naira for the best Hypelord, and other mouthwatering prizes to be won.

The announcement was made on Tuesday in Ibadan through a statement issued by the Head of Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates. According to the agency for youth chairman, Hon. Adebowale acknowledged that the committee will oversee the planning, coordination, security, logistics, programming, and general execution of the event, which is scheduled to take place this December.


King Zlo, known for his active involvement in Oyo State’s creative and nightlife scene, was selected to lead the committee in recognition of his organisational capacity and longstanding contributions to the entertainment sector.

His appointment reflects an ongoing commitment to involving young stakeholders in key initiatives under the leadership of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde.

However, the committee consists of entertainment industry professionals, Deejay representatives, Hypelord representatives, and youth group delegates to ensure a smooth and successful edition of the December Blizzard.

Reacting to his appointment, King Zlo expressed appreciation for the opportunity, pledging that the committee would deliver a vibrant and well-coordinated event that highlights Oyo State’s creative strength and cultural diversity.

He added that planning activities would begin immediately, with regular updates to be provided to the public.

The Oyo State Government through the Agency for Youth Development restated its commitment to promoting entertainment and creative industries as avenues for youth engagement, tourism growth, and economic development.

Further details about the event schedule, registration fee for the DJ and Hypelord, and venue for screening arrangements, are expected to be released in the coming days.
