

In a remarkable leap for aqua-tourism development in Oyo State, the Royal Entertainment Cruise, Eleyele, Ibadan owned by Prince (Dr.) Adesanmi Bamidele has officially unveiled a 40-passenger Royal Pontoon Ferry, further cementing its place as the state’s pioneering aquatic tourism destination.
The commissioning was performed by the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun during the opening activities of Oyo State’s “Vibing December”, a tourism-themed festive programme which commenced with a symbolic road walk involving major tourism stakeholders across the state.


Speaking at the unveiling, the Commissioner applauded the award-winning and first-of-its-kind aquatourism facility for its consistency, innovation, and infrastructural growth. He urged the management to continue elevating the project to world-class standards, noting that aqua-tourism is a rapidly expanding niche with the potential to boost the state’s creative and economic visibility.
He added by inviting all to the Vibing December Activities holding from December 1 2025 to January 2 2026 across zones in Oyo State.


Prince (Dr.) Adesanmi Bamidele, MD/CEO of the Royal Entertainment Cruise, expressed profound appreciation to dignitaries and guests for their presence. He described the newly unveiled ferry as a symbol of luxury, enhanced experience, and broader entertainment possibilities for residents and tourists.
According to him, “Aseju ni Lekki, Eleyele tiwa okay. People in Ibadan and across the country can now come to enjoy life just as it is in Lagos and other developed parts of the world.”


The event attracted a host of notable personalities, including top tourism and entertainment stakeholders in Oyo State; staff and management of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Hon. Rahman Adepoju, Executive Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government; the Chairman and council management, and several other distinguished guests.
The launch of the Royal Pontoon Ferry marks another bold stride in Oyo State’s mission to revitalise tourism, strengthen local entertainment offerings, and position Ibadan as a leading destination for aquatic leisure and innovation.
