The Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with Gloves for Africa, a renowned organization dedicated to promoting boxing and supporting young boxers across Africa.
Honourable Wasilat expressed that the collaboration aims to empower and enhance the skills of young boxers in Oyo State by granting them access to top-quality training, equipment, and mentorship. The partnership will also focus on instilling values such as discipline, hard work, and fair play, which are essential for achieving success in sports and in life.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Gloves for Africa. This collaboration will not only improve the skills of our young boxers but also provide them with opportunities to compete on national and international platforms,” said Honorable Adegoke.
She highlighted that through this collaboration, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Gloves for Africa Boxers will jointly offer training and mentorship programs for young boxers, organize boxing tournaments and competitions, Provide scholarships and support to talented boxers, Promote the sport of boxing and its values among young individuals
She further explained that this partnership is expected to make a significant impact on the development of boxing in Oyo State.
The Creative Director of Gloves for Africa Mr Femilee Olawuyi reiterated their commitment to supporting the Ministry of Youth and Sports in empowering young people through sports.
