The Coalition of Oyo State Market Youth Forum has extended warm felicitations to the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaja Wasilat Adefemi Adegoke, as she marks her birthday today, June 26th.
In a statement issued by the forum, which represents market youth across all 33 local government areas and the five geo-political zones of Oyo State, the Commissioner was praised for her unwavering commitment to youth development, empowerment, and inclusive leadership since her assumption of office.
The statement, signed by Comrade Adetunji Sikiru Abidemi, popularly known as Sikol, who serves as the Olori Odo Oloja of Oyo State and leader of the coalition, described Alhaja Adegoke as “a beacon of hope and inspiration to thousands of young people within and beyond the marketplace.”
“We celebrate a rare gem and mother to the youth of Oyo State. Alhaja Wasilat Adegoke has continued to demonstrate true leadership through her people-centered approach, accessibility, and consistent support for youth-driven initiatives. Her birthday today is a moment for us to reflect on her impactful service and pray for greater wisdom and strength for her,” Comrade Sikol stated.
The forum further offered prayers for long life, good health, and continued success for the Commissioner, noting that her legacy of service will remain indelible in the hearts of the youth community.
