The Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde on Community Relations, Hon. Tallest Innocent on behalf of the Igbo Community/Non Indigenes residents in Oyo State, said that the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo signified a new dawn in the history of the Oyo empire after the end of Late Oba Adeyemo’s era.
Tallest made this disclosure while congratulating the monarch on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers as the new Alaafin of Oyo.
Tallest in a congratulatory message he personally made available to journalists through a short interview with the press, stressed that the coronation of Oba Akeem Owoade which was performed by the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde today is a great blessing to the great people of the Oyo empire, Oyo State, Nigeria and the world as a whole.
In the response, Hon. Tallest stressed further that he and the entire Igbo Community/Non indigenes residents in Oyo State was very excited with the way Governor Seyi Makinde in his sheer wisdom handled the selection processes that led to the choice of Oba Akeem Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo.
I would like to earnestly congratulate the new Alaafin whose selection no doubt had been ordained by God and approved and embraced by his people, and I wish him a successful and fulfilling reign. The coronation of Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo marks a significant milestone in the history of the ancient city.
Tallest who equally appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for organizing such a befitting and glamorous coronation ceremony for the monarch, congratulated every son and daughter of the ancient city of Oyo for having such a person with rich corporate exposure and deep traditional values as their king.

Tallest charged the people of Oyo town to rally behind their new monarch, emphasizing the importance of cooperation for rapid socioeconomic development.
