In a statement issued on Wednesday, the GSMists highlighted that the newly appointed officials are not only competent but also deeply rooted in grassroots development, particularly within Ibadan North Local Government Area. They praised the governor for recognizing individuals with proven track records and expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on their new responsibilities.
The group, which has active members across all 33 local government areas of Oyo State, emphasized that the appointments reflect Governor Makinde’s unwavering dedication to good governance and merit-based leadership. According to the GSMists, these choices will further strengthen the administration’s ongoing developmental agenda and boost public trust in state institutions.
Reaffirming their support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Makinde’s leadership, the GSMists also threw their weight behind the PDP candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, ahead of the August 16 election. They called on all constituents to rally behind the party’s flagbearer to ensure continued progress and effective representation at the federal level.
