The Association of Nigerian Broadcasters ANBROAD Oyo State Chapter, on Thursday 30th of January 2025, has hosted its first annual new year prayer and lecture to start the new year activities.
The event which was scheduled and held at the Office of the Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Information and Orientation, Oyo State Secretariat Ibadan. Distinguished Elders, Leaders of the association led by ANBROAD National President, Alhaji AbdulRasaq AbdulGaneey Mr GRA, Chief Mrs Olajumoke Lawal Iya Pineapple (Oyo State ANBROAD, Matron), the State BOT (Mogaji Kola Akintayo Ode Ilu Ibadan, Bashorun Adegboyega Lawal, Wale Lawal Baba Promo, Dr. Bade Ojuade, Alhaji Akeem Amuzat Ofale, Adesoye Omotosho, Olori Yetunde Badmus Olaniyan, Prophet Ayodele Ayo Repete Joy crown and others in attendance.
The State Governor and number one citizen of Oyo State ANBROAD, “Amb. Opeyemi Ayanrinde widely known as MC SWAGGER, and the executives were gladly on ground to host the invited guests, the event went in Prayer of Islamic and Christianity way, followed by a professional lecture, topic “Limitations in Media Broadcast, Freedom of Expression and Law by Barrister Emmanuel Osimabale.
MC SWAGGER, in his remarks says “it’s a great privilege and honour to have the chance to lead the Oyo State ANBROAD, as the state Governor,
it’s high time to set the record straight, it’s time to put things together to reshape and redefine the Oyo State Broadcast media industry to the next level.
We are putting in every best of us to create a better environment and future for every member of the association, because we are the intermediary between the government and the general public, we are the voice of the masses, and we deserve a better recognition and accolades as a professional broadcaster.”
He appreciated the Oyo State Government and the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the recognition, honour and support so far.
stating that the body is ready to partner with the Oyo State Government to achieve the administration goals and objectives.
On a final note, he appreciated everyone who honored their short invitation and call for the new year prayer and lecture, saying “next year 2026 will be better than 2025 , as Oyo ANBOARD are in preparation to celebrate 365 days in office as Oyo State ANBROAD executives, June 2025.
