Hon Fagbenro-Bibire, has mourned the passing of Chief Yekini Adeojo, saying he has lost a father.
Chief Adeojo, one of the most revered leaders and statesmen of the PDP, departed from this world today, Friday, April 4, 2025.
In a statement released by his Media and Publicity Team in Ibadan, Bibire described the late Chief as a father to him, speaking with a sorrowful heart that he has indeed lost a father.
He went further to say that Chief Adeojo was a man of peace, who gave the greater part of his years to the service of the party, the state, and the people at large.
He noted that the late statesman would be long remembered for his immeasurable contributions to the growth of the party and his immense contributions to the political and socio-economic progress the state, as well as for his gentle and peace-loving nature.
Speaking further, he lamented that the loss of such a wise and experienced leader comes at a time when his counsel remains much needed to guide the affairs of the state in the right course.
“I am deeply saddened and heavy at heart upon hearing of the passing of Chief Yekini Adeojo, whom I hold dearly as a father. I have, indeed, lost a father.
“The undeniable fact remains that through his years of selfless service to his people, his state, and the nation, Chief Adeojo proved himself a steadfast and trustworthy leader, whose devotion to the growth of our party, the polity, and its people could neither be doubted nor questioned, for he never wavered in word nor deed.
“As an elder statesman, his wise counsel to the progress of the party and the state was beyond price. Moreover, he was a committed and loyal chieftain, who, despite the weight of his years, kept pace with the swift movements of the present administration in confronting the challenges of the time.
“As we mourn this great loss, I pray Almighty Allah to strengthen and grant comfort to his wife, his children, Governor Seyi Makinde, the people of Ido Local Government, and the entire government and people of Oyo State. Truly, he shall be missed beyond words,” Bibire said.
