Prophet (Dr.) Samuel Samiye Olabode of The Angel of Christ Gospel Church Incorporated at Dasoromi Oluwa Prayer City, Isale Oremeji, Agugu, in Ibadan, Oyo State, has joined the global community, particularly the people of Ibadan, in celebrating His Imperial Majesty, His Excellency Oba (Sen.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his official coronation by the Oyo State Government on September 26.
In a goodwill message, the church described Oba Ladoja as a certified engineer, renowned international business tycoon, former senator, former governor, and elder statesman who has consistently demonstrated unwavering love for peace and unity in Ibadanland. The monarch, they noted, represents the virtues of wisdom, integrity, and selfless leadership.
Prophet Olabode also made special spiritual proclamations over the life of the Olubadan and the entire Ibadanland, declaring divine guidance, long life, prosperity, and enduring peace throughout his reign. Citing the scriptures, he referred to Proverbs 29:2 — “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice” — praying that the reign of Oba Ladoja would usher in joy, stability, and sustainable development for the land.
He further urged indigenes of Ibadan to rally behind their monarch with loyalty and prayers, stressing that the strength of the ancient city lies in unity and collective progress. Drawing from Psalm 133:1 — “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” — he called for peace, togetherness, and brotherhood among all Ibadan sons and daughters under the revered leadership of Oba Ladoja.
