The National Youth Council of Nigeria, under the leadership of Comrade Eniola O. Alex, has announced plans to host the maiden edition of its faith-based programme titled Faith and Praise 2026.
The programme, which is being organized in collaboration with the NYCN Christian Wing, Oyo State Chapter, led by Comrade Akogun Elufisan Oludare Marcus, is scheduled to hold on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the St. Paul Anglican Church Hall.
According to the official notice issued by the organizers, the event will begin at 1:00 PM and will feature activities aimed at promoting spiritual growth, unity, and fellowship among youths across the state.
Themed “Risen Together: Joy, Unity, and New Beginning” with reference to John 10:10, the programme is expected to bring together youth organizations under the council for an atmosphere of worship, praise, and inspiration.
Highlights of the event include songs of praise, drama ministrations, Christian comedy, Christian cultural dance performances, prayers, and the preaching of the Word of God.
The council directed all organizations under its umbrella to begin immediate preparations and mobilization for active participation. Christian Wing organizations are expected to attend with at least 10 members each, while other affiliated organizations are to be represented by three delegates each.
The organizers also appealed for publicity, material assistance, and financial support from stakeholders and well-wishers to ensure the success of the maiden edition.
