The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Lagos State, Laja Adeoye, has intensified consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections following a high-level strategy meeting with the party’s candidates across the state.

The meeting, which brought together candidates contesting for various elective positions including the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly, focused on strengthening party structure, grassroots mobilisation and harmonising campaign strategies toward the forthcoming elections.

Speaking during the engagement, Adeoye stressed the need for unity, discipline and coordinated political engagement among party members and supporters, noting that the APM is determined to present a credible alternative for Lagos residents in 2027.

He reiterated the party’s commitment to people-oriented governance, transparency and inclusive leadership, maintaining that the party’s growing acceptance among residents is a reflection of increasing demand for a new political direction in the state.

According to sources at the meeting, discussions also centred on voter outreach, expansion of ward structures and collaboration among party stakeholders to deepen the APM’s presence across local government areas in Lagos State.

Adeoye further urged party candidates to remain connected with the grassroots and sustain regular engagement with communities, youths and market leaders as part of efforts to consolidate support ahead of the polls.

Party leaders present at the meeting reportedly expressed confidence in the growing momentum of the APM, describing the gathering as a strategic step toward building a formidable opposition force capable of reshaping the political landscape in Lagos State.
