A new phase has begun in the political landscape of Oyo State following the official confirmation of Adekola B. Adeoye as the State Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The announcement, which has generated reactions among party faithful and political observers, marks a significant development ahead of the build-up to the 2027 general elections. Adeoye, in his acceptance message, expressed deep gratitude to the party leadership, stakeholders, and delegates for entrusting him with the responsibility, describing the moment as both humbling and historic.
“This is not just an appointment, but a call to service, sacrifice, and commitment to building a stronger, united, and more effective ADC in Oyo State,” he stated.
Adeoye emphasized that his emergence reflects the collective will of party members who are eager to reposition the ADC as a formidable force in the state’s political space. He pledged to work collaboratively with party executives and grassroots mobilizers to strengthen internal structures and expand the party’s influence across all local government areas.
