SMART BOYS MOVEMENT National Executive Director Holds Strategic Stakeholders’ Meeting in Ogun East

The National Executive Director of the SMART BOYS MOVEMENT (SBM) Nigeria, Honourable Funso Jide Adekunle, popularly known as Honourable Fushi, has paid a strategic visit to Ogun State, where he held a stakeholders’ meeting with key leaders and representatives of the Ogun State Chapter of the Movement.

The meeting, which focused particularly on the Ogun East Senatorial District, was convened as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the organisational structure of the Movement, deepen grassroots mobilisation and enhance coordination among its various leadership organs ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the meeting, Honourable Fushi engaged stakeholders on the vision, objectives and strategic direction of the SMART BOYS MOVEMENT. He emphasised the importance of unity, discipline, effective grassroots engagement, youth participation and responsible leadership in building a strong and sustainable political movement.

He further charged the Ogun State leadership and coordinators across the Senatorial District to remain committed to the ideals of the Movement and develop effective mobilisation strategies capable of translating the growing enthusiasm among young people into meaningful civic and political participation.

The meeting was led by Honourable Adeleke Adekoya, Director-General, Ogun State Chapter of the SMART BOYS MOVEMENT, who welcomed the National Executive Director and expressed the State Chapter’s commitment to working closely with the National Leadership to advance the objectives of the Movement across Ogun State.

Also present at the strategic stakeholders’ meeting were Honourable Rashhed Adedeji Adefala, Ogun State Director of Electoral Affairs; Honourable Temitope Rinlaye, Ogun East Senatorial Coordinator; Comrade Adewale Gbadebo, Coordinator, Odogbolu/Ijebu Ode/Ijebu North-East Federal Constituency; and Miss Awofisoye Titilayo, Welfare Officer.

The stakeholders reviewed the progress of the Movement in Ogun State and discussed strategies for strengthening its presence across the Senatorial District, Federal Constituencies, Local Government Areas, Wards and Polling Units.

Honourable Fushi commended the Ogun State leadership and stakeholders for their commitment and urged them to continue working as a united team. He noted that the success of the SMART BOYS MOVEMENT would depend largely on effective grassroots structures, strategic collaboration and the ability of its leaders to connect with young Nigerians at the community level.

The Ogun East stakeholders, in turn, reaffirmed their readiness to support the vision and programmes of the SMART BOYS MOVEMENT and work collectively towards building a formidable, disciplined and well-coordinated grassroots structure in Ogun State.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with the leadership reiterating its commitment to the Movement’s guiding philosophy: “Smart Thinking, Smart Leadership, Smart Future,” as well as its continued expansion across Ogun State and Nigeria.
