The Phenomenal Dr. Debo Akande, DBA, CMGR, FCMI, the Executive Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Agribusiness and International Cooperation Development, and Director General of OYSADA represented the government on thursday, 9th April, 2026 in Abuja, at the 40th anniversary of the Sasakawa Africa Association.
In his words: Dr. Debo engaged with key stakeholders including JICA and the Japanese Embassy.
One outcome I am particularly pleased about is the decision by Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) to establish operations in Oyo State being the first of its kind in Southwestern part of the country.
This will deepen support for our farmers, improve productivity and bring new innovation into our Agricultural systems.
With the efforts of Dr. Debo Akande, the state has secured a landmark partnership with the Sasakawa Africa Association—bringing global expertise directly to our farmers.
