Aadan South West Federal Constituency, Mayegun Babanumi, has reiterated that his political ambition is driven by a sincere commitment to empower the people rather than pursue personal gain.
Speaking during an engagement with the Mayegun Support Group, Babanumi stressed that true representation must be anchored on accountability, responsibility, and service to the people. He noted that his aspiration is centred on delivering meaningful socio-economic and political empowerment to constituents.
He outlined key developmental priorities for the constituency, including the provision of basic social amenities such as potable water, promotion of economic empowerment initiatives, improvement of the academic learning environment, strengthening of primary healthcare centres, and overall enhancement of the standard of living.
Babanumi maintained that his focus remains on delivering tangible benefits, adding that he is not interested in political theatrics but in building trust through selfless service.
“I have always been in politics with the sole aim of positively impacting my constituents. My participation is to redefine the essence of service in a responsible and accountable manner. I am committed to enriching and empowering my people across all facets of socio-economic and political development, which should be the true hallmark of leadership,” he said.
