The office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Oyo State on Community Relations, heartily felicitate all Christian brothers and sisters on the solemn observance of Ash Wednesday and the commencement of the Lenten season, and also extend warm goodwill to all Muslim brothers and sisters as they begin the sacred period of Ramadan fasting.
These holy seasons are divinely designed for self-examination, prayer, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to love, peace, and service to humanity. They remind us of the enduring values of humility, compassion, discipline, and unity, which remain the pillars of a strong and progressive society.
It is my earnest prayer that this period of fasting and reflection will strengthen our faith, purify our hearts, and deepen our collective resolve to live in harmony as one people, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
May Almighty God grant us the grace to observe these seasons in good health, spiritual fulfillment, and peaceful coexistence, and may our dear Oyo State continue to enjoy unity, progress, and divine guidance.
