The Legislative Arm of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government on Friday held a special plenary session in honour of the departed stakeholders, late Hon Musbau of Ward 4 and Hon. Adekunle Oduola, a former Councillor of Ward 6 and also served as Supervisory Councillor during his lifetime.
Hon. Oduola, who until his passing was the husband of the current Councillor representing Ward 1 and Majority Leader of the House, was described as a devoted public servant whose contributions left a lasting impact on the council and the communities he served.
The special sitting, presided over by the Leader of the House, Hon. Oluwagbemileke Gbadamosi Nelson, had in attendance other principal officers and councillors across the 11 wards of the local government.
In their individual remarks, each councillor paid glowing tributes to the late stakeholders, recalling their exemplary leadership, commitment to grassroots development, and the invaluable guidance they offered during their lifetime.
They collectively offered prayers for the peaceful repose of their soul and for divine strength for their family, especially wife of Hon Oduola, as they navigate the period of loss.
