Hon. (Chief) Akindipe Hammed Abiodun Akinsunbo, popularly known as Igba-Otun and serving as the Supervisory Councillor for Works in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, has congratulated the newly elected chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ibadan NorthWest and Ibadan SouthWest Local Governments.
The PDP congress, held on Saturday, September 20, produced Hon. Kazeem Fantola as the party chairman for Ibadan NorthWest and Hon. Hassan Bello for Ibadan SouthWest.
In his goodwill message, Chief Akinsunbo, who is also the Mayegun of Eleyele/Arometa, Ward 11, Ibadan NorthWest, described the emergence of the two leaders as a victory for grassroots democracy and a testament to the party’s unity of purpose.
He commended their steadfastness, loyalty, and commitment to the progress of the PDP, expressing confidence that their leadership would further strengthen the party’s structures across the two local governments.
Chief Akinsunbo also urged the new chairmen to uphold inclusiveness, fairness, and accountability in discharging their responsibilities, assuring them of his continued support in promoting the ideals of the PDP and ensuring sustainable development at the grassroots.
He concluded with a call for unity among all party faithful, stressing that collective efforts remain vital in sustaining the PDP’s dominance in Oyo State politics.
He further appreciated the governor of the state Engr Seyi Makinde, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke and other stakeholders in the PDP Oyo State.
