Lagos APM candidates pledge intensified mobilisation following South-West presidential town hall

The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Laja Adeoye, has expressed appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde, the party’s presidential candidate, for his leadership and support following the just-concluded South-West APM Presidential Town Hall Meeting held in Akure, Ondo State.

Adeoye, speaking on behalf of Lagos APM candidates, stakeholders, leaders, members and supporters, described the gathering as an important moment for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. He said Makinde had given the Lagos team “wings to soar higher” as it prepared to pursue its electoral ambitions under the party’s Reset Agenda.

In his appreciation message, Adeoye said the town hall, held from October 21 to 22, 2026, reinforced the party’s commitment to its vision for Nigeria. He attributed the growing attention surrounding the Reset Agenda partly to Makinde’s record of governance in Oyo State, while assuring the presidential candidate that the Lagos campaign team would work to fulfil its responsibilities. He also commended the South-West Coordinator, Olorogun Dr. Eddy Olafeso, and his team for their efforts in organising the event.

The Lagos governorship candidate also thanked delegates, party members, supporters, stakeholders, candidates, local government chairmen, and the women and youth wings who travelled to Akure. He specifically acknowledged Barr. Dr. Amos Fawole of the PDP, Mrs. Bunmi Adeyemo of the APM, and coordinators Otunba Sikiru Ademola Alebiosu and Dr. Layi Ogunbamni for their participation, coordination and commitment to representing Lagos State at the meeting.

Adeoye said the next phase would focus on sustained campaign activities across Lagos State, with the party seeking to communicate its message to residents in communities, homes and markets. He called for coordinated efforts among party members and candidates contesting presidential, governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats. He expressed confidence in the team’s ability to intensify grassroots engagement ahead of the elections, while reiterating his appreciation to Makinde and other party stakeholders for their contributions to the Akure meeting.
