The Smart Boys Movement (SBM), an organisation committed to promoting the candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) across Nigeria, has pledged to mobilise its members across Oyo South Senatorial District for the election of Rt. Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, as the next Senator representing the district. The commitment was made during an engagement with the Youth Directorate of the Odidiomo Campaign Organisation.

The SBM delegation was led by its National Coordinator, Rotarian (Hon.) Funsho Adekunle, who highlighted the movement’s commitment to youth participation, good governance and positive societal transformation. Adekunle described SBM as a social, political and cultural platform largely driven by young people, with a focus on democratisation, societal reform and developmental change.

During the meeting, the Smart Boys Movement and representatives of the Odidiomo Campaign Organisation discussed practical strategies for strengthening grassroots mobilisation and expanding the campaign structure across Oyo South. Adekunle also referenced the movement’s previous engagements with prominent APM stakeholders, including Prince Laja Adeoye, the party’s Lagos State governorship candidate; Otunba Seye Famojuro, popularly known as King of Boys; and Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi, the APM senatorial candidate for Oyo Central.

Adekunle said the movement would deploy its grassroots network and youth-driven structure towards mobilising support for Odidiomo, citing the candidate’s contributions and leadership qualities as evidence of his capacity to provide effective representation at the National Assembly. He urged members of the movement and young people across Oyo South to remain actively involved in the political process and work collectively towards achieving the APM’s objectives in the 2027 elections.
