The Coalition of Oyo State Market Youth Forum has commended the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Adebowale Falana, for his cooperation, support and commitment towards his pledge for the successful organisation of Ajodun Odo Oloja Oyo State 2026, describing his exemplary leadership as worthy of emulation. The commendation comes as the Forum intensifies preparations for the programme scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026.
The President of the Forum, Comrade Adetunji Sikiru Abidemi, popularly known as SIKOL, expressed appreciation to the agency chairman for his positive disposition towards youth development initiatives and his support for programmes designed to promote the welfare and economic advancement of market youths across Oyo State. He noted that the cooperation demonstrated by the agency leadership would further strengthen efforts to bring traders, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders together.
SIKOL stated that Ajodun Odo Oloja Oyo State 2026 is designed to promote unity among market youths, celebrate their contributions to the state’s economy and create opportunities for capacity building, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. He added that continued collaboration with the Agency would help expand access to business grants, startup capital, vocational training, mentorship and other empowerment opportunities for deserving members across the 33 local government areas of the state.
The Forum also commended the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for providing the enabling environment and leadership that have continued to support youth development and empowerment initiatives across the state. He particularly acknowledged the Governor’s confidence in Hon. Falana and his appointment as Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, noting that the agency chairman’s cooperation, accessibility and commitment to youth-oriented programmes reflect the administration’s dedication to inclusive governance and grassroots development. They expressed appreciation to other youth bodies in the state for the brotherly care and support.
