Ajanaku Reaffirms APC Loyalty, Calls for Unity After Ticket Disagreement
Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku (ORAF), an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and aspirant for Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency, has reaffirmed his commitment to the party and called on his loyalists and supporters to remain calm, united and focused following the recent disagreement over the allocation of the APC ticket for the Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing his supporters, Ajanaku urged ORAF loyalists to put the overall interest of the APC above individual ambitions and continue to work for the success of the party at all levels. He said the gathering was an opportunity to promote reconciliation and strengthen unity within the party. In a symbolic show of solidarity, he asked attendees to chant the APC slogan and later invited those who remained firmly with him within the party to switch on their mobile-phone torchlights, resulting in a display of solidarity and renewed commitment.
Ajanaku expressed appreciation to party leaders who intervened during the disagreement, particularly Barrister Lowo Obisesan and Hon. Olugbenga Ariba, for their efforts toward preventing the situation from escalating and facilitating reconciliation at the state and national levels. He also thanked his loyalists and the various aspirants from Ward 12, Ibadan South West Local Government, who, according to him, made sacrifices in pursuit of the constituency ticket.
The APC chieftain equally commended Hon. Zaccheaus Adedeji Adelabu for his intervention and efforts toward resolving the disagreement. Recalling the extensive efforts made during the process, including engagements in Lagos and Abuja, Ajanaku said the experience had reinforced the reality that while individuals can make plans and proposals, the ultimate outcome remains in the hands of God. “We as human beings propose, but God disposes,” he stated.

In a renewed call for peace and unity, Ajanaku urged his supporters not to allow the outcome of the ticket allocation process to create permanent division within the APC. He maintained that political disagreements should be handled with maturity and should not undermine the larger objective of strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Making his position unequivocal, Ajanaku declared: “APC is my party. I am an APC chieftain, and I remain within the APC party structure.” He consequently directed his loyalists to put the disagreement behind them, respect the party structure and redirect their energy toward grassroots mobilisation and the success of APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
The gathering ended on a note of reconciliation and renewed commitment, with Ajanaku stressing that the 2027 elections are bigger than individual ambitions. He urged party members to work collectively as one progressive family, while reaffirming his readiness to contribute to the growth and electoral success of the APC in Oyo State.
