Hon. Fadare Blessing Fiyinfoluwa, a chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Chairman of Akinyele Local Government in the forthcoming 2026 Local Government Elections.

The declaration, made in a statement made available to journalists, signals the commencement of what the aspirant described as a people-centred movement aimed at delivering purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and sustainable development across Akinyele Local Government.

According to Hon. Fadare, his decision to join the race is driven by a genuine desire to serve the people and address the developmental needs of communities within the local government through transparent, accountable, and responsive leadership.

He stated that his vision is built on the principles of grassroots development, infrastructural renewal, youth and women empowerment, economic growth, and improved service delivery.

Speaking shortly after his declaration, Hon. Fadare reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the progress of Akinyele Local Government, stressing that governance should be centred on the needs and aspirations of the people.

He noted that, if elected, his administration would prioritise policies and programmes that promote inclusive development, create opportunities for young people and women, strengthen local economic activities, and improve access to essential social amenities.

The chairmanship hopeful also pledged to run an open and participatory administration that would encourage community engagement, accountability, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure meaningful development across all wards in the local government.

Hon. Fadare called on residents of Akinyele Local Government, members of the Allied Peoples Movement, community leaders, youths, women, and other stakeholders to support his aspiration and join him in building a more prosperous, peaceful, and progressive local government.

He expressed confidence that, with the collective support of the people, Akinyele Local Government could witness a new era of purposeful leadership and accelerated grassroots development.

The declaration has generated interest among political stakeholders within the local government as preparations gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2026 local government elections.
