The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Olajide Royal Umbrellas popularly known as ‘Ore Gomina ‘Hon. Lukman Abayomi Olajide, has congratulated renowned businessman, philanthropist and Chairman of Ilaji Farms, Hotels and Sports Resorts, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS), popularly known as Okanlomo Oodua, on his elevation to the prestigious traditional title of Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a congratulatory message, Royal Umbrella described the promotion to Gbonka Olubadan as a well-deserved in Otun Olubadan lineage .
He noted that the Ilaji Farms chairman has consistently distinguished himself as a visionary entrepreneur and compassionate philanthropist whose contributions have positively impacted thousands of lives across the state and beyond.
According to him, Sanusi’s elevation reflects his remarkable service to humanity, his support for cultural heritage and his dedication to the growth and progress of the Ibadan people.
Hon Yomi Olajide described the new Gbonka Olubadan as “a pride of Ibadan,” adding that his achievements in business, tourism, sports development and philanthropy have continued to project the ancient city on the global stage.
“Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi is a worthy ambassador of Ibadanland whose life exemplifies hard work, humility and selfless service. His elevation as Gbonka Olubadan is not only a personal milestone but a celebration for all sons and daughters of Ibadan,” he said.
