The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD), has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for what she described as seven years of purposeful, people-oriented, visionary, and transformational leadership in Oyo State and affirmation of the Presidential flag bearer of Allied People’s Movement (APM).
The Lagelu-born politician lauded Governor Makinde for his remarkable achievements across critical sectors of the state economy, noting that his administration has continued to redefine governance through impactful projects, transparent leadership, and policies that directly benefit the people.
According to Hon. RAD, Governor Makinde’s administration has recorded giant strides in security, road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, education, agriculture, workers’ welfare, pensioners’ welfare, and sustainable development initiatives aimed at improving the standard of living of residents across the state.
She stated that the governor’s commitment to strengthening the security architecture of the state has significantly enhanced peace and stability, creating a safer environment for businesses and residents alike.
Hon. Dabo further described Governor Makinde as a courageous leader whose governance style is anchored on competence, accountability, compassion, and service to humanity. She noted that his consistent emphasis on practical solutions to societal challenges has distinguished him as one of Nigeria’s most effective and forward-thinking leaders. The Reset Nigeria Agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde highlighted the need for reforms that directly impact ordinary citizens, improve food security, tackle insecurity, and restore public confidence in leadership further demonstrate his commitment to people-centred governance.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has demonstrated uncommon leadership, integrity, and sincerity of purpose in the last seven years. His administration has touched every sector positively, from security to infrastructure, health, education, workers’ welfare, agriculture, and grassroots development.
“Beyond Oyo State, Governor Makinde has emerged as a voice of hope and responsible leadership. His vision for governance, emphasis on accountability, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people continue to inspire confidence among citizens across Nigeria,” she said.
Hon. Dabo noted that one of the governor’s greatest strengths is his ability to remain focused on service delivery despite economic challenges, while maintaining prudence, transparency, and fiscal discipline in the management of public resources.
She also commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to inclusive governance, stating that his administration has created opportunities for women, youths, traditional institutions, and local government stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.

The philanthropist also appreciated Governor Makinde for his swift response and proactive actions following the recent kidnapping incident in Ogbomoso, noting that the governor’s prompt intervention reassured residents and further demonstrated his commitment to protecting lives and property.
She added that Governor Makinde’s passion for empowering local governments and strengthening grassroots governance has accelerated development in communities across the state, bringing government closer to the people and ensuring that no part of Oyo State is left behind.
