This milestone is a testament to Governor Makinde’s exceptional leadership credentials, remarkable achievements in governance, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people. His emergence offers the REAL RENEWED HOPE to Nigerians who desire competent, compassionate, and people-oriented leadership at the national level.
While celebrating this historic development, LACO remains deeply concerned about the recent security challenges in Oyo State, particularly the abduction of teachers and schoolchildren. We join well-meaning Nigerians in praying for their safe and speedy return.
We are encouraged by the proactive steps taken by Governor Makinde, including his visits to the affected families and his assurances that every available measure is being deployed to secure the release of the victims. These actions reflect a leader who is not only responsive but also genuinely empathetic to the plight of his people.
Governor Makinde has consistently demonstrated that effective governance is driven by vision, political will, accountability, and a sincere commitment to the public good. His administration in Oyo State has shown that leadership with a human face can deliver meaningful progress and inspire confidence among the people.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the current administration at the federal level. The growing economic hardship, widening inequality, and diminishing opportunities for ordinary Nigerians have exposed the failure of policies that have continued to weaken the middle class and deepen poverty across the country.
Today, more than ever, Nigerians require leadership that listens, understands, and acts decisively in the interest of the people. Governor Makinde’s record in Oyo State provides a compelling example of what is possible when governance is anchored on competence, transparency, and service.
We at LACO are immensely proud of Governor Makinde’s sterling leadership style and transformative achievements. We are confident that, given the opportunity, he possesses the capacity, vision, and character to replicate these successes at the national level and provide the quality leadership Nigeria desperately needs.
