Hon. Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo (OJO), an aspirant for the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has paid glowing tribute to Nigerian workers in a powerful message commemorating this year’s Workers’ Day.

In his May Day address, Ogunbayo described workers as the backbone of society, applauding their resilience, dedication, and invaluable contributions to national development.

He acknowledged the relentless efforts of civil servants, artisans, traders, professionals, and all hardworking individuals across Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-West, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large, noting that their daily sacrifices continue to sustain communities and drive economic growth.

“Workers remain the engine of development. Your commitment, despite numerous challenges, reflects courage, hope, and a strong sense of responsibility to family, community, and nation,” he stated.

Ogunbayo emphasized that beyond recognition, workers deserve improved welfare, stronger support systems, and access to opportunities that reflect their contributions.

Reaffirming his commitment to the people, the Oyo federal constituency hopeful pledged to champion policies and initiatives that will empower the workforce, create sustainable opportunities, and enhance the overall standard of living.

He concluded with a call for collective action toward building a society where hard work is rewarded, the dignity of labour is upheld, and every worker has the chance to thrive.

“Today and always, I celebrate our workers. Happy Workers’ Day,” he added.
