A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State and leading hopeful for Oluyole Federal Constituency, Hon. Ogunsola John Olusina, has described the Supreme Court judgment affirming the leadership structure of the party as a landmark victory for democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria.
Reacting to the verdict delivered on Thursday, April 30, 2026, Ogunsola said the judgment has not only resolved the internal leadership dispute within the ADC but has also preserved the constitutional rights of millions of Nigerians who believe in multi-party democracy.
According to him, the ruling ensures that the ADC remains firmly positioned to participate in the 2027 general elections and continue offering Nigerians a credible political alternative.
“This is a victory for democracy, justice, and the future of progressive politics in Nigeria. The Supreme Court has reaffirmed that no political platform can be silenced when due process is upheld,” Ogunsola stated.
He noted that the judgment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the party, particularly in Oluyole Federal Constituency, where he said the ADC has continued to gain momentum through sustained grassroots mobilization and strategic engagement.
Ogunsola reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party’s structure across Oluyole, stressing that his investments and dedication to party development have always been driven by service to the people.
“This victory validates our collective efforts and strengthens our resolve to build a stronger ADC that will deliver real impact to our people. Oluyole deserves tested leadership, practical solutions, and a future anchored on accountability and development,” he said.
He called on party members and supporters to remain united and focused, urging them to channel the momentum from the legal victory into intensified mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections.
The ADC stalwart expressed optimism that with the leadership structure now secure, the party is better positioned to provide transformational leadership and deepen democratic participation across Oyo State and beyond.
