
The S. A. to Governor Seyi Makinde on Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Imam AbdulRasheed AbdulAzeez, has extended warm Ramadan 1447AH greetings to Muslims in Oyo State and across Nigeria.
In his goodwill message, the respected Islamic scholar and media guru congratulated the Muslim Ummah on witnessing another holy month, describing Ramadan as a sacred period of reflection, sacrifice, compassion, and renewed devotion to Almighty Allah.
Sheikh AbdulAzeez appreciated Governor Makinde for his commitment to peaceful coexistence and religious harmony in Oyo State, noting that the administration’s inclusive approach has continued to strengthen unity among people of different faiths.
He also acknowledged the support of the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr AbdulRaheem Adebayo Lawal, for his steadfast dedication to the growth and stability of the state.
The Governor’s aide further recognized the fatherly roles and spiritual guidance of the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Aare (Alhaji) Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, as well as the Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy AbuBakr Agbotomokekere, the Grand Imam of Oyo State, for their continued prayers and leadership of the Muslim Ummah.
He equally commended Muslims in Oyo State for their cooperation, unity, and peaceful conduct, urging them to use the holy month to intensify prayers for sustained peace, progress, and prosperity in the state and Nigeria at large.
Imam AbdulAzeez concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful, rewarding, and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan 1447AH, praying that Almighty Allah grants them the strength to complete the fast and accept their acts of worship.
