The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Oyo State Office, has officially released the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) rotation schedule for the deployment of its IVED machines across Ibadan NorthWest Local Government Area.
According to the schedule made available to stakeholders, the exercise will commence on February 2, 2026, and run through April 10, 2026, covering various wards within the local government on a rotational basis.
The CVR rotation is designed to enable eligible voters who have attained voting age, as well as those seeking transfer of registration, correction of data, or replacement of lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), to conveniently access registration centres within their wards.
Ward-by-Ward Schedule
The exercise will begin at Ward 1 (Part 1) from February 2nd to 5th, 2026, at the Maternity Centre, Ayeye.
This will be followed by:
Ward 2 (Part II) – February 6th to 11th, 2026 at Bishops Court, Oke Are
Ward 3 (NW1) – February 12th to 17th, 2026 at Agbaje Primary School, Ayeye
Ward 4 (NW2) – February 18th to 23rd, 2026 at Lagbeja Compound
Ward 5 (NW3 Part I) – February 24th to 27th, 2026 at First Baptist Primary School, Idi Ikan
In March, the rotation continues:
Ward 6 (NW3 Part I) – March 2nd to 5th, 2026 in front of St. Patrick School, Abebi
Ward 7 (NW4) – March 6th to 11th, 2026 at Open Space, Idi Oro Junction
Ward 8 (NW5) – March 12th to 17th, 2026 at NW5 Primary School, Nalende
Ward 9 (NW6) – March 18th to 25th, 2026 at Saviour Apostolic Primary School
The final phase of the exercise will take place at:
Ward 10 (NW7) – March 26th to April 1st, 2026 at Oba Abass Aleshinloye Grammar School, Benjamin Eleyele
Ward 11 (NW7) – April 2nd to 10th, 2026 at Anwarul-Islam Primary School, Eleyele
While most wards will host the registration exercise for four days, Wards 9, 10, and 11 have been allotted five days each to accommodate expected higher turnout.
Call for Participation
INEC has urged residents of Ibadan North-West, especially first-time voters who have reached the age of 18, to take advantage of the exercise to register and update their voter information. Community leaders, political stakeholders, and civil society groups are also encouraged to mobilize residents to ensure maximum participation.
The CVR exercise remains a critical component of Nigeria’s democratic process, providing citizens the opportunity to be included in the nation’s electoral register ahead of future elections.
Residents are advised to visit designated locations strictly within the scheduled dates for their respective wards to avoid congestion and ensure a smooth registration process.
