In further demonstration of its commitment to educational development, the Zonta Club of Ibadan 1 has distributed 1,000 exercise books to five public institutions in Ibadan as part of its Educational Support Project for the 2024–2026 Biennium.

The distribution was carried out during the club’s programme held on Thursday, 22 January 2026, at the Zonta House, Ibadan. The exercise books were donated to support teaching and learning, especially for students from low-income backgrounds who often lack basic educational materials.

The initiative, led by the President of Zonta Club of Ibadan 1, Zontian Christiana Nnnana, was designed to complement the club’s WAEC support programme by ensuring that students have the necessary learning tools to succeed academically. According to her, access to writing materials is fundamental to quality education and academic performance.

School administrators present at the event commended the club for its thoughtful intervention, noting that the exercise books would go a long way in easing classroom challenges and supporting students’ daily academic activities. Teachers also described the donation as timely and impactful, particularly in public schools where resources are often limited.

The donation of 1,000 exercise books further reflects the Zonta Club of Ibadan 1’s holistic approach to education, combining financial assistance with material support to create sustainable impact.

Through this gesture, the club once again demonstrated its dedication to community development and its global mandate of Building a Better World for Women and Girls, reinforcing the belief that small acts of kindness can create lasting change in the lives of students and the society at large.
