As Nigerians usher in the New Year 2026, the Leader of the Ibadan North-West Legislative House and Councillor representing Ward 9, Hon. Oluwagbemileke Gbadamosi Nelson, popularly known as Hon. O’leke, has extended warm New Year felicitations to the people of Ibadan North-West Local Government, Oyo State, and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In his New Year message, Hon. O’leke paid glowing tributes to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, commending his people-focused leadership style, infrastructural strides, and commitment to good governance across the state. He described Governor Makinde as a stabilizing force whose policies continue to positively impact lives at both urban and grassroots levels.
Hon. O’leke also saluted Alhaji Rahman Adepoju, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-West Local Government, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, as well as the Oyo State PDP Vice Chairman and other PDP leaders and stakeholders in Ibadan North-West and across Oyo State, appreciating their dedication to party unity, inclusive leadership, and democratic values.
According to him, the New Year presents another opportunity for consolidation of gains recorded in governance and party cohesion, urging PDP members to remain steadfast, united, and committed to the collective vision of sustainable development and social progress.
“Year 2026 calls for renewed collaboration among leaders, stakeholders, and citizens. Together, we must deepen our commitment to grassroots development, peaceful coexistence, and responsive governance,” Hon. O’leke stated.
The Ward 9 Councillor reaffirmed his dedication to effective representation, promising to continue championing initiatives that promote the welfare, empowerment, and socio-economic advancement of his constituents.
He concluded by praying for peace, good health, and prosperity for Governor Makinde, party leaders, and the people of Oyo State, expressing optimism that 2026 would usher in greater unity, stability, and developmental achievements across the state.
