In a groundbreaking and heartwarming event that stunned many and inspired thousands, the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Onala parish demonstrated a powerful symbol of religious unity and tolerance as it welcomed renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Taofeek Akeugbagold, to  open-air revival themed “Mercy!, Favor!!, Glory!!!”

The event, which took place at Oba Akinbiyi High School, Mokola, Ibadan, drew a massive crowd of believers, onlookers, and religious leaders from different backgrounds. At the center of it all was the charismatic and widely respected revivalist, Professor Dr. Mathew Kolawole Olakanmi, popularly known as Baba Onala.

The moment of awe came as Sheikh Akeugbagold, clad in his traditional Islamic attire, stepped up to the stage during the Christian revival.

The Islamic Cleric lauds the shepherd of CCc Onala Parish, described him as A Perfect Symbol of Unity.

“Permit me to say this that Baba Onala is a perfect symbol of unity and this is what is expected of all religions because we serve one God but the ways we worship Him is just different”.

Addressing the audience with profound wisdom and humility, he stated:

“Religion doesn’t save, Moral saves. Religion is the transport to heaven, your personality is the car but Moral is the fuel which means if you don’t have good morals , I am sure that you are serving the real God. Christianity, Islam, and other religions are meant to bring peace and we are one all over the world. We are all human beings, created by God and for God.”

His presence and message electrified the atmosphere, creating a deep sense of togetherness and shared humanity among the diverse attendees.

In his response, Baba Onala expressed immense gratitude for the visit, emphasizing the significance of spiritual harmony in today’s polarized world.

“My calling is for deliverance, and I only believe in Almighty God,” Baba Onala stated. “God is not the author of confusion. This is a revival of peace, unity, and grace.”

This unprecedented gesture of religious coexistence at a Christian revival has sparked admiration and conversations across the state and beyond. Observers hailed the event as a rare and refreshing move that sends a clear message; faith should unite, not divide.

As the revival continues, the convergence of diverse faiths at Onala stands as a testament to the possibility of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect in a multi-religious society like Nigeria and also a ministration by Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo (Baba Authority) who discharged the prayers of blessings, favour, grace and mercy upon the large audiences.
