The Chairman for The Nigeria Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Ibadan Chapter,Engr Wole Ayanrinde MNSE, FNIMechE presented 101 graduates of The Polytechnic Ibadan, Department of Mechanical Engineering 2022/2023 set for induction.
The Induction ceremony is the 8th edition organized by The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Ibadan Chapter in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering,The Polytechnic Ibadan.
Speaking at Assembly Hall North Campus, The Polytechnic Ibadan, Engr.Wole Ayanrinde said the ceremony was part of the process of becoming a registered engineer and charged the inductees to be disciplined in their Profession .
At the event,The Rector, Engr Prof Adebiyi K.A FNSE, FNIMechE and Engr.Dr Oladejo I .O MNSE,MNIEEE who is represented by Engr.K.A Olaiya MNSE in their respective remarks congratulated the new inductees and their Parents on the occasion.
They urged the newly inducted graduates to work hard, be disciplined and maintain focus in order to establish themselves and succeed in their chosen profession.
The 16th National Chairman, Engr Alhassan Abdullahi Mohammed,MNSE, FNIMechE who doubles as the chairman of the occasion ably represented by Engr. Prof. Ademola Dare MNSE, FNIMechE described engineering as a profession that is dedicated to serving humanity in all endeavours.
Engr Prof.A. Dare urged the inductees to embrace self development and improve their skills in the relevant areas
The Guest Lecturer, Engr Adeboje Taiwo Bode MNSE urged the inductees and all stakeholders to place priority on education of engineers, scientists and technicians to accelerate the development of the country, also prioritize local contents.
Engr.Adesokan S.G MNSE,Head of department in his closing remarks rejoice with the the inductees,their parents and appreciates the Management Of the institution, NIMechE Ibadan Chapter, Staff of Mechanical Engineering Department for the success .
Speaking on behalf of other graduating students, Shotikari Oluwafemi expressed their profound gratitude and excitement to be inducted as graduate member.
Other dignitaries at the occasion are Past Chairmen, Elders of the Chapter, Executive members, Members of Staff and local organizing committee.
The induction features oath taking and Presentation of awards to the three best graduating students of the department.
