As part of the ongoing International Tourism Summit (ITS) 2025, the Royal Entertainment Cruise (REC), Eleyele, Ibadan, is set to welcome the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Oyo State, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, and other global tourism stakeholders on Wednesday, July 23.
The summit, organized by the Oyo State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, continues with Day 2 featuring a scheduled visit to the iconic REC — one of the state’s premier aqua-tourism destinations. Royal Entertainment Cruise Eleyele Ibadan is acclaimed for its scenic waterside experiences and has emerged as a top destination for both leisure seekers and cultural enthusiasts.
Prince (Dr.) Sanmi Bamidele, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of REC, expressed delight at hosting the government delegation and international guests.
According to him, the summit presents “a unique opportunity to spotlight the beauty and investment potential of Oyo State’s water-based tourism sector.”
Expected to accompany the Honourable Commissioner are members of the ITS 2025 planning committee, Directors from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and key stakeholders from across the global tourism industry. The visit will include a tour of REC’s facilities, cruising, games and interactive sessions aimed at exploring collaboration and growth opportunities in the sector.
With REC being one of the major highlights of the summit, its involvement underscores the state’s broader vision to position Oyo as a leading tourism hub in the globe.
