A leading aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives for Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest in 2027, Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, has commended the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his dedication to a people-centric administration.
Mayegun Babanumi, who is also the Founder of the Sunday Olusegun Babanumi Initiative (S.O.B.I) and a notable chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, praised the governor’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people through various policies and initiatives.

- Increment of minimum wage to ₦80,000 for civil servants, effective from January 25, 2025.

- Industrial Agricultural Training programs aimed at equipping youths and citizens with skills for economic self-sufficiency.
- Promotion of Yoruba culture and heritage, including the approval of Aso-Oke attire as Thursday wear with the regular Friday still inclusive for civil servants in the state.
- Conversion of 1,591 Local Govt Ad-hoc Workers To Permanent Staff with immediate distribution of letters
