
September 5, the National Forum of State Chairmen, led by its Chairman, Amb. Abdulsalam Abdulquadri Olusegun, FEIP, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Olawande Wisdom.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss matters of mutual interest, including youth development initiatives, empowerment programs, and collaboration between the Ministry and the Forum as well as to restate the forum’s belief, on behalf of the millions of Nigerian youths, in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s high-flying administration and the Minister’s remarkable strides.
During the meeting, the Forum brought the Minister to speed on the current state of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and his guidance and support in promoting unity within the council while assuring him of the forum’s readiness to rally the youth structure to further advance the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Forum also requested the Minister’s partnership in supporting various programs, including youth entrepreneurship development, skills acquisition, leadership development, and sports initiatives. In addition, the league of chairmen conveyed their unanimous decision that the Election of the NYCN be conducted with fairness, equity and unity .
The Minister was receptive to the Forum’s proposals and expressed his commitment to working together to promote youth development and empowerment in Nigeria.
The meeting marked the beginning of a new era of collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Development and the National Forum of State Chairmen, with both parties looking forward to a fruitful partnership.
The meeting was concluded with a formal passage of vote of confidence on the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Hon. Olawande Wisdom.
