
In a profound display of compassion, leadership, and commitment to the safety of his people, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola Ajobo Olurin I, the Eleruwa of Eruwaland, convened a solemn special prayer session for the safe release of kidnapped victims in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The prayer gathering, held at the First Baptist Church, Eruwa, was organized in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Eruwa, and witnessed full participation from churches across the community, reflecting a strong sense of unity and shared concern.

The primary focus of the session was an intense and heartfelt intercession for the victims currently in captivity. Clergymen and congregants offered fervent prayers, seeking divine intervention for their safe and immediate return, while also lifting up their families for strength, comfort, and hope during this difficult time.

Leading the congregation, the Eleruwa expressed deep concern over the security situation and emphasized the importance of collective faith, unity, and reliance on God in confronting challenges affecting the people.
During the course of the prayer session, special prayers were also offered for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. The congregation prayed for divine wisdom, guidance, and strength for both leaders as they continue to address issues of insecurity and work towards safeguarding lives and property.
The event underscored the Eleruwa’s dedication not only to the welfare of his immediate community but also to the broader peace and stability of Oyo State and Nigeria. His initiative was widely seen as a demonstration of responsible traditional leadership, fostering unity and encouraging collective action through spiritual means.
In attendance were the Olori, members of the Eleruwa-in-Council, chiefs, members of the Eruwa Elders’ Council, religious leaders, and a large number of residents, all united in purpose and faith.
The prayer session concluded with renewed hope and a shared commitment among participants to remain steadfast in prayers while supporting all lawful efforts aimed at restoring peace and ensuring the safe return of the victims.
