
The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Olooye Adegboyega Toafeek Adegoke FCA, has congratulated former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, on his emergence as the Vice Presidential Candidate of the party ahead of the forthcoming presidential election.

Adegoke, the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland in a statement issued on Monday, described Amaechi’s selection as a well-deserved recognition of his years of dedicated public service, vast experience in governance, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s democratic development.

According to him, Amaechi’s leadership credentials and wealth of experience will significantly complement the vision of the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as they seek to provide a credible alternative for Nigerians.

He noted that the nation is currently at a critical juncture where citizens are yearning for leaders capable of restoring confidence in government institutions, tackling insecurity, revitalizing the economy, and creating opportunities for all Nigerians.
“Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi’s emergence as our party’s Vice Presidential Candidate is a recognition of his years of service, experience in governance, commitment to national development, and dedication to the democratic process. I have no doubt that his wealth of experience and leadership capacity will greatly complement the vision and aspirations of our presidential candidate,” Adegoke stated.
The Oyo ADC standard-bearer added that the Atiku-Amaechi ticket presents a fresh opportunity to advance meaningful conversations about national development and offer renewed hope to Nigerians across all regions of the country.
He further congratulated Amaechi, his family, supporters, and members of the ADC nationwide on what he described as an important milestone for the party.
