The Gubernatorial Candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) Oyo State and The Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke FCA, has extended warm Eid-al-Adha greetings to Muslim faithful across Oyo State, urging them to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, love and unity which define the holy celebration.

In a special Sallah message released to commemorate the 2026 Eid-al-Adha celebration, Adegoke congratulated Muslims in Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria at large for witnessing another festive season in good health and happiness.

The respected community leader and financial expert also offered prayers for Islamic clerics, traditional leaders and residents across the state, praying that the celebration would usher in continued peace, progress and prosperity for the people.

In the message, Adegoke emphasized the importance of civic responsibility ahead of future elections, calling on eligible Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) offices within their local government areas.

He noted that citizens who recently relocated from one community to another also have the opportunity to transfer their voting details to their new locations in order to fully participate in the democratic process.

According to him, active participation in elections remains one of the major ways citizens can collectively choose leaders capable of delivering meaningful development and good governance.

Adegoke encouraged residents not to remain indifferent to political participation, stressing that the opportunity to vote gives the people the power to determine the future direction of their communities and the country at large.

He concluded the message by wishing Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration, saying, “Barka da Sallah. Odun a yabo fun gbogbo wa.”
