We also extend our sincere condolences to the families of the two individuals who lost their lives during the abduction process. We pray that Almighty God grants the departed eternal rest and gives their families the strength to bear this painful loss.

The attack on a state government school by suspected bandits in the early hours of Friday, 15th May 2026, which led to the abduction of students, the school principal, and teachers, is deeply disturbing and unacceptable.

No community deserves to live under fear, intimidation, violence, or insecurity.

At this difficult time, we stand firmly with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Oluseyi Makinde GSSRS, FNSE, as the state confronts this painful situation.

We commend all security agencies and operatives involved in the ongoing rescue mission and efforts toward securing the safe return of the abducted .

We equally sympathize with all security personnel who may have suffered injuries, losses, or other challenges during the operations aimed at rescuing the victims. Their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting lives and maintaining peace are highly appreciated.

We sincerely encourage the Oyo State Government and the Federal Government to continue deploying every possible resource and strategy necessary to ensure the safe and immediate return of all abducted victims.

We pray that Almighty God protects everyone involved in the rescue efforts and grants the Federal and State Governments the wisdom, grace, knowledge, and strength needed to successfully bring back all victims safely.

May peace, security, and stability return to our communities.
